BRIDGEWATER, J. -- The issue before us is whether a fire fighters widow, whose surviving spouse pension benefits ceased upon her remarriage, is entitled to receive benefits again when a legislative amendment removes remarriage as a bar to receiving benefits. We hold that the legislation is not remedial and thus not retroactive; we affirm the trial court.
